Genetic Counselor

Research and provide the following about the Genetic Counselor

Duties and Responsibilities: work with patients that are genetic or inherited disorders and birth defects. They would also help people with their problems as well. Also help make their decision on medical things. There often:

·         Assists patient with researching decision about genetic disorders for helping to choose what’s best for them.

·         Conduct research about genetic disorders.

·         Examine family history determine likelihood to genetic problems or their conflicts.

·         Help patients to choose what best for you

 

 

Salary:$ 23,000-$55,000

Education: A master degree is required and most graduated programs. Undergraduate biology, chemistry,  and behavioral science. Also, many states require genetic counselor to be certified.
