Optical Laboratory Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: They fix the eyeglasses when they are broke or didn’t come out right they would also put them like in a machine and they would polish them to be nice and clear. They would also fit the lenses for the patients what I mean by that is they measure your eye to make the right eye glasses for you. Some ophthalmic technicians work in optical laboratory. Some work in retail stores that have optical departments.

Salary: $15,000-$22,000

Education: All you need is a high school diploma or a GED to begin in training. The training programs will last six months or a year. They also provide vocational school and in community college as well.

Reflection: I think I would work on this however I would have to be very careful to clean or polish the lenses.
